This fly is exactly what its name suggests - a Stimulator with Chubby Chernobyl wing made of Widows Web. No one is sure if this fly was invented on Joe’s tying desk or if it is a natural hybrid of 2 great flies that spawned over the winter in a fly box at the bottom of his boat bag. The Widows Web floats really well and shows up clearly on the rough and tumble riffles of the Madison River. This fly could imitate a caddis, small stonefly or even an ant! In 2018, we fished this fly a lot down in the Chubut Provence of Argentina and it worked really well down there too.
